Pennsylvania man pinned down by home-owner’s pitbull till police arrive

A 9-year-old rescue canine named “Spuds” rescued his household from an alleged intrusion at their Pennsylvania house by attacking the person and serving to restrain him till police arrived. 

The pitbull’s proprietor, Leroy Rucker, mentioned, “Spuds is a protector.”

On March 24, Spud proved his love for his proprietor by defending them from the alleged trespasser. 

“I was just sitting in here watching TV and YouTube with the dogs like I always do,” Rucker recalled to Fox 8 in a latest interview.

That is when 53-year-old Robert Burke Jr. allegedly got here bursting by the door. The house owners and their beloved canine, Spud, rapidly jumped to motion.

“He wasn’t going to just walk in my house uninvited.” Rucker instructed Fox 8 including, “He sees me fighting, he wants to fight.”

Rucker mentioned Spuds helped restrain the person for 20 minutes till regulation enforcement arrived.

In line with court docket paperwork, Burke is being arraigned to Blair County Jail on expenses of housebreaking, legal trespass, easy assault and harassment. His subsequent court docket date is scheduled for Might 13 with $50,000 bail. 

“For them, it’s protection. For me, its love,” Rucker instructed Fox 8.
