NYPD off-duty officer shot, wounded in Queens: studies

An off-duty New York Metropolis police officer has been shot and wounded in Queens, in accordance with studies.

The capturing occurred about 10:20 p.m. within the Far Rockaway neighborhood of the borough, the New York Every day Information reported.

Fellow officers rushed the unidentified officer to Jamaica Hospital, the newspaper reported.

The wounded officer was in steady situation, WCBS-TV of New York reported.

The capturing occurred simply hours after the NYPD paid its remaining respects to Officer William Mora, one among two officers who died after an ambush in Harlem earlier this month.

President Biden is predicted to go to New York Metropolis on Thursday, with gun violence a key scheduled matter of debate with Mayor Eric Adams, a former NYPD captain who was elected to the workplace in November.
