Houston law enforcement officials injured when drunk driving suspect crashes into patrol automobile: report

A suspected drunk driver crashed right into a police automobile in southwest Houston within the early hours of Sunday morning, injuring two officers on the scene. 

An officer was blocking site visitors for a tow truck that was loading a damaged down car on the Southwest Freeway round 5:15 a.m. when the suspect rear ended the police cruiser in a purple Ford Focus, Fox 26 Houston experiences. 

One officer suffered a concussion and one other suffered minor accidents. Each have been transported to an area hospital for therapy.

The 39-year-old suspect was charged with intoxication assault, in line with Fox 26 Houston. His id has not been launched by police.

Individually, one other suspected drunk driver crashed right into a Houston police officer’s car and one other girl’s automobile round 3:00 a.m. in northwest Houston.

The officer was unhurt and the girl was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening accidents. The suspect was charged with driving whereas intoxicated.
